I'm sure we have all seen the brilliant ad campaign by the American for the Arts folks stressing the importance of art programs in our public education system. Quite noble of them, undoubtedly...but what about the flip side of this situation? Case in point, conversation with sis this morning:

oogie: So yesterday was the anniversary of the moon landing.

piggie: Which moon?

oogie: The one up there.

piggie: Right.

oogie: Anyway, it's been 40 years since Neil Armstrong walked on the moon.

piggie: Ohhh...I thought he was the jazz singer?

So let's just agree to support education, yes? Ok.
